The Rebrickable-hosted Premium MOCs feature was introduced in late 2017 when Mocplans shut down. There were thousands of LEGO fans who needed access to the building instructions they had purchased, so Rebrickable started hosting them. At the same time, it became possible to submit new MOCs using this hosting method. This is now our preferred way of hosting Premium MOCs (vs self-hosted where the designer has to serve the files and handle payments), and so I have spent a lot of time lately focusing on improvements to make it fully competitive with other digital sales platforms out there.
If there's one thing I love more than LEGO, it's space. And for the last several years, any fan of space is well aware of SpaceX and what they have achieved with their revolutionary Falcon line of rockets.
It has been asked many times, and has been on my to-do list for ages, but finally the concept of ‘Any Color’ parts has been added.
The part color called [No Color] has been renamed to [No Color/Any Color], to better match it's new meaning. In official LEGO Set inventories it's used...
It's time for another round of new Rebrickable features. These will hopefully improve the way you manage your LEGO collection, and help you get the most out of the site. Each new feature is detailed below.
I've been thinking about adding this feature for years, but I kept putting it off as too hard and too low priority. I've finally gone ahead and added it primarily to assist the admin team with discussing submitted change requests etc. However, I'm sure it will find some good use outside of that.
I wanted to point out a new feature I've added, since it might not be so obvious. It is designed to provide more feedback to MOC designers, as well as help you keep track and build a sort of portfolio of other people's MOCs you have built.
I have made several enhancements and added new features related to managing your LEGO collection. These will help make Rebrickable the best LEGO collection management tool around :)
You can now optionally group the results of parts and sets...
MOCPlans.com was a site dedicated to selling Building Instructions for MOCs. An old idea but the first site I'm aware of to try and create a dedicated platform just for LEGO MOC instructions.
In the last month or two I've added many new features and fixes. I'll just mention a few of the new features below.
You can now upload your own photos of MOCs you have built, or modded. This is a great way to show off what you've built, and provides some great feedback to...
Many of you have probably noticed the references to Pro Plans scattered here and there on the site over the last couple of months. Now that the v3 release has stabilised, I've now managed to find time to finish the Plan features.
