  1. Definitely not as underside has (C) stamp common in newer parts where part number can't fit , older parts had nothing at all or one digit.
  2. I encountered twice in Atlantis sets rare part 4085b in red and light bluish grey which unfortunately Bricklink doesn't support. What could be the reason to resurrect this obsolete part?
  3. Also you can post all pictures of your lego and we can suggest some sets.
  4. Best option to remove many lego from this mess is to find stickered or printed parts. Check printed with rebrickable and stickered with bricklink - that way you might find many sets, it's just like sudoku (make assumptions!). Similar method is look for other specific parts which were in only a few sets. The problem is - you must have experience to find them easily
  5. I don't know if this is a bug but every entry with similar part image (mostly heads) is not listed as missing image utility. Is it intentional?
  6. Unfortunately in Poland there were virtually no LEGO except in PEWEX shops (you had to buy with US dollars, while average pay was around 20$ on black market course - US dollars were available only on black market). That's why most of today AFOL's had to start their collection of lego for themselves at around 1990 when iron curtain fell and LEGO was in normal distrubution.
  7. Actually Star Destroyer is not trademarked This is the same problem like with Citadel Miniatures "Space Marines" and "Imperial Guard" - they changed names in order to trademark these new names because it wasn't possible to trademark as vague and general names like "Imperial Guard" and "Space Marines".
  8. Voltage is also an issue - you will burn 4,5V motor with 9V power pack.
  9. It's safe to assume all sets from before 1993 have 3847a but later sets also can have 3847a, for example: https://rebrickable.com/sets/2890-1/stone-bomber/ As for 1993 sets (Dragon Masters) I've encountered them with 3847 and 3847a - that's why in my opinion we should'nt mess with 1993 and later sets without 100% proof (for example inbox of MISB).
  10. Set list with dark grey 3847 is flawed. This part was introduced around 1993 according to peeron and my own research: http://peeron.com/inv/parts/3847 and should be changed in every set up to 1992 including. New sword 3847 is an absurd in sets from 80's, unless it was US-only occurence (like non-shooting pirate guns). For example set https://rebrickable.com/sets/6009-1/black-knight/ definitely has older ABS sword. It's also evident when looking at boxart (picture should be magnified):
  11. Hello Is there an application which lets you build old lego sets in 3D? I've seen some 3d generated pictures on Rebrickable, ex. https://rebrickable.com/sets/260-1-p20b-1/race-car/
  12. I found a part which looks like 3rd from the left but has mould number 2555. It proves this shape (with lenghtwise depression) was manufactured with both 2555 and 12825 mould number.
  13. Is it possible to implement system know from bricklink: "counterparts" with stickers applied on?
  14. Vokhev - don't do this with 4085 because long forgotten 4085b appeared in 2000s in light bluish grey.
  15. https://rebrickable.com/parts/2555/tile-special-1-x-1-with-clip-and-straight-tips/ Accordin to this 3rd entry from left should be 12825 however this part has number 2555. Is this intentional? What's the official policy on 2555 and 12825?
  16. I has just returned to normal. I don't know what happened but it's OK for now.
  17. I've just returned from my holiday and found out that Chrome displays rebrickable main page incorrectly - top menu is white, lists under Rebrickable MOCS, SETS, PARTS, OTHER, MY LEGO, ME don't show up, I cannot access them. Is it possible that rebrickable thinks my PC is a mobile?
  18. How to unhide set or part?
  19. I have 7715 bought in Poland in Pewex (shop with imported goods, in this case imported from West Germany, prices i in dollars not polish currency) with very old catalog, probably early run and it has regular 3660. I've bought more than ten packs of old lego and saw this part for the first time last month. I must add that in 80's there was no regular distrubiuton of lego in Poland (or other eastern european country), only abovementioned Pewex. It's also popular in Poland to go to german flea market and buy lego by kg. That's why all packs I bought which include parts of sets from 80's are originaly made for german market.
  20. Hello I've just stumbled upon strange part 3660b: https://rebrickable.com/parts/3660b/slope-inverted-45-2-x-2-ovoid-bottom-pin-small-stud-holes/ Rebrickable has only one entry with this part, other sites doesn;t even record it's different part version. Please, check your inventories (most probably sets from 80') and add information in which sets this part is present - but only if you are absolutely sure this part is originally present in specific set (i.e. you bought MISB and next built it). I
  21. Package have arrived. I connected front car directly to transformer and put it in the air - without load and friction from rails. I gave it a little juice and it works! No strange sounds etc. Now I must check if it works on rails with proper load.
  22. Is it safe to plugin directly, won't it get full 12V at once? Thanks for help!
  23. This offer has also 7859 but it doesn't work electricaly (manually is ok). Also there is 7864 and 7856 (which buzzes). I can't find any information how was this set electrified without transformer - it's not listed on bricklink/peeron.
