Difference between 2866 and 28567

Question

Hello,
Is there any difference between part 2866 and 28567? The element images seems a little different, but that can just be a render thing. Anyone that has both parts?

Regards,

TobyMac

I only have the older version, which indeed could easily break when using a little pressure, so it makes sense that LEGO reinforced it. I have added the following part note to both parts:

There are two known mold versions of this part:

[part]2866[/part] Train Ground Throw / Track Switch 9V
This seems to be the original version, introduced in 1991. The switch lever is NOT reinforced.

[part]28567[/part] Train Ground Throw / Track Switch reinforced
This seems to be the modern version, introduced in 2018. The switch lever is reinforced.

and changed the part name of 28567.
