Generating parts list with Studio

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm just in the process of submitting my first ever MOC.  But I don't know how to generate a parts list in Stud.io.  Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Exporting the model as PartsList.  The resulting CSV file is badly formed (columns spilling across each other).

2. Selecting all and creating a custom palette, then exporting it as XML.  The results look weird to me, but may be ok for people wishing to import?

Many thanks in advance for any help

If you upload the .io file and select bricklink as the external source then it should import the part list fine.

At least that is what I did for my penguin MOC last week.
