Please Report Any Missing Or Incorrect Part Images Here

Recommended Posts

I see that removing and adding of the Element ID solved the above mentioned issue with Lego render of part 15395 in Medium Azure. Thanks, Nathan!

As a curtesy, Nathan was asked if he would like to make his own correction.   Since he's already said that both LDraw and LEGO images will be available in v3, there is no need to correct this type of "busy-work" error made by former or non-active admins.

Actually V, I meant You are busy creating busywork that takes time away from the very few currently active admins trying to help users. Since I have very little tolerance for people who pretend to be something they are not, this will be the last time I reply to you.

If you have an element id # and a part # for a part in this color, I might be able to get the bot to recognize the Trans Light Orange color.

I did sort out my Trans Orange parts and there are 2 shades normal and Light Trans Orange the same as the clikits parts, i do not mean the Trans Neon Orange that is a different shade.

Some sellers on Bricklink also has split them up and you can order them there.

Till now i did find the following in my collection, 3005, 3941, 4589, 59900, 4740, 58176, 3024, 6141, 54200, 3040b, 3069b, 6126a, 6126b there can be more.

I made this suggestion:

I think it will improve images of some parts where size is hard to see and won't harm the rest.

Parts typically have up to three images, labelled "Element", "LDraw", and "Photo". What is the source of the (rendered) "Element" image?

I've noted that for 85863pr0014 (a microfig), the Element incorrectly seems to have two white feathers below its headband. I briefly thought I confused 85863pr0014 and 85863pr0036, but that is not the case. See the image below. They are distinct microfigs, and neither has a white feather.

PS: I hereby release this photo as CC0 (CC zero/Public domain). Feel free to use at these parts to illustrate the difference. Original image (without text) available upon request.

PS2: Is there a list of elements without photo image that I can use to submit images (I know there is a list of parts for which there is no image at all).

The element image is linked to the element-id (the number by the parts in the back of the instructions), and comes directly from LEGO.

As far as I know there is only a list with no image at all

You're right, this should be the right one (below).

Right now the image is not displayed - I am working on a new set of LDraw images, with higher quality, but we seem to need a hardware upgrade before I can add them, so for now, the display is disabled.

The "Element" image of part # 2850b is showing a 2850a (with the side slot). The "LDraw" and "Photo" images are correct though. You can clearly compare the difference on the part page at https://rebrickable.com/parts/2850b/technic-engine-cylinder-without-side-slots-with-bottom-slots/ and also compare with the 2805a and 2850b comparison images below.

Part # 2850a is at https://rebrickable.com/parts/2850a/technic-engine-cylinder-with-side-slots/ (where all three images are correct).

I think the "Element" image comes from Lego themselves, so maybe there's not much we can do about it.. but now you know.

/P

I've disabled rhe element images. The issue is that LEGO doesn't distinguishes between the mold variations. And if I move the element id to the 2850a, future sets will get the wrong version when importing a inventory.

For some reason 4346 in Trans-Clear says No image available in parts lists but when I click on the part, it does have an image.
