I just bought this MOC instructions and I cannot WAIT to build it! I've got the first detectives office that I have to tear apart and I bought a second copy to build this moc - I was a little disappointed that it did not come with a 3D model file for LDD or - is there a chance that you can provide such a file? I love being able to look at the real build as I'm going through the instructions.

There are two reason why I don't share the "3D file":
      1. The 3D file itself contains more than 40 hours of works and it's the backbone of the instructions. The PDF is just a "copy", a render.
      2. I use the LDraw library to build the model. Sometimes there are pieces that are not available so I design them. If I share the model, people will find many missing pieces when they open the file. Also, after I render the model I make a  lot of corrections to the images. The 3D model is actually far from perfect.

The instructions that you see in this PDF are the result of different libraries, process and utilities. And a lot of time.

I don't use since it's a proprietary library and I think it would be extremely difficult to build a model this size using LDD. This model, for example, is built using more that 30 submodels.

Thank you for your purchase. I hope you enjoy the model and the building process.

Is that a face on the side of the building?  It's probably just an accident but it could be used as random graffiti if you put it at the end of you street.

I didn't realize about the smiley face until I made the video.
Now I see it like some sort of "Easter egg". The graffiti is also a good idea.

Did you include any of the secret compartments from the original set?
    • 1 year, 11 months ago dagupa Level 16 Designed this MOC
Hello. No, the secret compartments and features were removed from both buildings. To be honest, I'm not sure how easy it would be to reinstall them. I already disassembled the model.
