Audi Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak - nkd, ready for stickers

MOC of the Audi Sport Quattro S1 „Pikes peak“ 1987, version "nkd"

The original car was the last and most extreme version of the Audi Quattro rallye cars in the 80s. German rallye master Walter Röhrl drove this „winged monster“ to victory of the „Pikes Peak Hill Climb“ 1987.

Seeing the LEGO „Speed Champions“ over the last few years I felt my most favourite rallye car was missing – so I constructed it myself. On August 28th 2018 I submitted it to LEGO IDEAS (see link above). The 10.000 necessary votes are not yet reached so feel free to support it there – thank you in advance!
Please support the LEGO IDEAS project: , if you like the car!

What does "nkd" mean?
This is the „naked“ version of the car, to put stickers on. This is exactly how I build the car for myself and then glue on the authentic looking stickers.

Where are the realistic looking Stickers, Tom?
Sorry, I won't show a digital version with stickers here, because they're custom-made and you wouldn't be able to order them anywhere. And they contain registered trademarks (Audi, quattro), so I won't have them ready for download, either - sorry, folks!

But how to make the stickers yourself?
I used a mixture of self made red-grey-black stripes and original photos which I googled, safed, cut out parts from and calibrated them to the right size (…of the respective LEGO tiles).

Here some help:
- See the photos on the IDEAS project page ( incl. the updates there;
- see the more than 30 detailed photos on BRICKSAFE:

So now, have fun!
