These instructions show you how to build an alternate model using the parts from the LEGO set 21030 (U.S. Capitol Building). There are no additional parts needed.
Since I’ve always been a big fan of buildings designated to make people come to a certain rest in their busy life and provoke calm feelings and deeper thoughts, I wanted to give something like a Memorial Hall a try. I paid special attention not only to the overall look of the building but also wanted to provide some nice views for people who like to look inside of things.
Enjoy your time!
Special thanks to my lovely Petra for testing and helping me to improve these instructions.

Good work! I enjoyed building my first ever MOC since joining recently so looks promising going forward. Instructions were great too so well done to designer (and tester 😉). Small technical point from this newbie - I assume that your build includes any spare 1x1 tiles as the set comes with 12 each (MOC requires 14). I had no problem working around but as a new user I am crossche king Mocs presented to me for build and my parts/sets inventory. Not sure if it all matches up or what criteria is used in the background. Looking forward to seeing more work from you and hope to contribute one day myself if I can learn how to create instructions etc after designing! Thanks again

Hello Ayrbrick. Thank you very much for your kind comment and the picture of your build. Yes, you are right about the tiles. I used whatever comes with the box, without regard of if it is part of the original build or a spare part. You are right about the 1x1 tiles (dark tan), the original build requires 12, but there are 2 as spare parts that come with the box. My next design will be postet soon. Thanks again!

Thank you, Drew. Nice to hear that you had fun building it. Of course, the original build will most likely always be the better one, since you have to compromise if you want to build something completely different but are limited to the parts included in the set. But as brick fans we always want to have something new to build, don't we? Thanks again!
