In this variation on the Hammercross I wanted to use all the windscreen in a different way. Technically the windscreens can be considered sloped bricks and thus you can use them to mimic that function. I also wanted to use the chimney-like dark grey brick to be in between the space of the outer and inner windscreens. To achieve that I had to build my way around that desired setup and make choices to make it work out. I like such restraints because they require creativity to solve the shape in a good way. You have to look at the available parts and see which ones would connect best where. The front section came relatively easily. I did not need to modify much after the first construction.

For the back section I wanted to make use of two wheel hubs instead of one. With the front section having a wide end plate to connect with there was plenty of space to do so. With the shape clear in my mind I set forth to get make the structure. What pleasantly surprised me was that I had the necessary bricks and plates available to make it happen. I had to make some modifications because I hadn't seen that there was a way to get it right but in the end it all worked out. It all fit exactly as I wanted to while maintaining a very nice color scheme. I am very pleased with the final model. This is another personal favorite.
