Galloping Horse

This is a standalone version of one of the horses from my Apollo kinetic sculpture. It is a creator-style brick built horse that 'gallops' when the crank on the side is turned.

If you would like to purchase of the parts needed to build this model, you can buy a kit from MOCHUB here: https://www.mochub.com/moc/galloping-horse

In addition to the moving legs, it attempts to reproduce some of the other subtle movements of a horse. This includes the rocking of the body, forward thrust of the head, and flick of the tail.

    Very cool! The subtle movements besides the legs add nice details to the model. Well done!

      When stationary, I love that this Apollo model looks more like a horse than does the non-Apollo model from 2014.  But when in motion, I prefer three of the 2014 model's features:

      1) the muscle movement of the thighs isn't hidden;
      2) the legs are connected to the torso only (i.e., not to other legs);
      3) a gallop, rather than the Apollo model's canter*.

      *corrected from "trot"

        I think the new one is more of a canter than a trot.
