FLL-Bot by Ray McNamara
Ray McNamara shared this FIRST Lego League (FLL) EV3 robot design -- it can be built with the parts from the EV3 Retail 31313 set. The two attachments can be driven via the quick-connect "Dog Gear" system. The "Blade" (scoop) attachment has a geared "spear" that can lift the loops of FLL Robot Game pieces. The geared "Forklift" attachment is reversible, so that the Technic Axle "forks" can be at floor level or at a higher level. The robot has a big Carrying Handle on top, and sports two EV3 Large Motors, one EV3 Medium Motor, an EV3 Color Sensor, and an EV3 Infrared Sensor. The IR Sensor can utilize Aaron Maurer's clever IR Sensor "decelerator" EV3 program that uses Data Wires, and which is demonstrated on the YouTube video www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkFkK_dtk3o&list=PLUDkntwKJbA... , if you add an EV3 Touch Sensor too. You will need 5 ea. EV3 Cables to operate this robot. Since the EV3 Infrared Sensor cannot be used for FLL, substitute an EV3 Ultrasonic Sensor instead.
