I just completed a slight redesign of this transmission. None of the gearing changed, the changes are to support further transmission design. For whatever reason, the image will not update, though I have tried repeatedly.

4 speed sequential transmission. Inspired by TLG's 42056 Porsche GT3 RS. This transmission is somewhat folded, rather than flat. It also has the correct gearing sequence (as opposed to the 42056's incorrect gearing sequence). It is simple to see each gear as each gear has it's own unique set of gears. A stepper shifter needs to be added.

Looking top down, with the output shaft at the top, and the input shaft at the bottom. This puts the series of 3 16t gears at the bottom. The gears are mapped (i.e. drive rings engaged):

2---3
4---1

Gear Ratios:
1 - 3:1
2 - 1.667:1
3 - 1:1
4 - 1:1.667 (overdrive)

This results in a nice progressive curve for each gear.

ERATTA: the 2L drive ring needs to be replaced with a 3L drive ring, and the 2L connector the drive ring slides on needs to be replaced with a 3L connector (smooth or ridged, your preference).
