Cube Apartments

This building features a central utility core that has an elevator going all the way up to the pool deck on the roof.
Each apartment has futuristic rounded windows and can be detached and moved to another location if required.
The ground level features the main lobby, and has a small communal garden on its roof.

This design is 1 of 15 designs that I entered into the Lego Rebrick.com Mini Building Madness Contest, 2017.
This contest was to commemorate 10 years of the Lego Modular Building sets. The goal of the contest was to design a Mini Modular building which would fit in with Lego's Mini Modulars set (10230), released in 2012.

I normally build with Technic pieces, so I stepped out of my comfort zone a little bit here, but I had fun designing this model.

I am just about finished building this, it's been such a great little unique project.  Next step is to get all different colored housing units, as I have all the grey from the instructions.

      Thanks bourgeoisie  :-D

The main limitation to which colours can be used for the housing units is the limited number of colours of part 4490 - Brick Arch 1x3 (https://www.rebrickable.com/parts/4490/brick-arch-1-x-3/).

Once you finish building it, I'd love to see a photo - you can submit a photo on the Photos tab of this MOC on Rebrickable.

Still awaiting 1 pick-a-brick order to arrive to finish.  I have yet to order parts on Brick Link from countries other than the US (Home), In your experience, how is it getting parts from a different country than your own?  Is their a better way to get the umbrella part to stay securely on top of the gold ski pole?  Do you happen to have a good source for colored 4490's, as there are not many for sale on Brick Link.  Lastly, Do you happen to have instruction to other mini's you've made?

I'll take photo's as soon as this is fully complete, and it's a shame because everything is built and together except for 2 units, and some of the pool.

I have ordered parts from Europe without issue.  I usually add postage insurance just to be safe, but have never had a situation where I have had to make an insurance claim.  Check the Terms/Splash page of the BrickLink Store to make sure you are happy with the shipping cost as this can vary a lot from seller to seller and country to country.  Also remember that you may have have to pay import duty and/or tax, etc.
If the umbrella part (4740) isn't connecting securely to the ski pole, you could try inserting part 20482 as it has the smaller hole that fits very tightly on top of the ski pole.
I only have part 4490 in the colours available on BrickLink.  When I originally designed this model I did it using MLCad, where I could use any colour that I like.  When it came time to create instructions, I realised that this part wasn't available in many colours, so I decided to make them all LBG for these Rebrickable/YouTube instructions.
All of my Mini Modulars were designed in MLCad format, so I do have the MPD/LDR files for these, but I haven't added the steps in the file or created any instructional YouTube videos for the other designs.  If there is any that you are particularly interested in, let me know.

Nice work! I love how this blends both a modern and futuristic style. I'm excited to see all of the contest submissions. I like really like the theme.
