Please note: the new black 2x3 tiles are not offered in the current LEGO Digital Designer 4.3, you need to simply replace the two 1x2 and 2x2 tiles on the final physical model to properly finish the top.
If you want to make the rear turbine engine more accurate I suggest sliding on a speed champion car tire over it to simulate a 3x3 black exhaust. You could also modify the rear to include a 3 stud wide round cone instead. I like the 2 tone approach myself. I wish I could have made this whole top without any studs showing, but I chose to work on the shape and proper proportions for the car first. I am always interested in people using this model and seeing how you modify it. Maybe you will come up with a better design solution to this car. This is always my reason for sharing these files.
What makes this batmobile unique is the fact I have created a great top view proportion that accurately portrays the car in season 3 and comes fully loaded with a engine that can be hinged open for display purposes. This will fit in well with the official LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1. Unlike my 1989 batmobile (28 studs long x 11 studs wide), the BTAS batmobile is much longer as seen in the television show and the animated film Mask of the Phantasm. This car matches the season 3 in proportions as they shortened the length a whole tire length. I chose this design because it still kept the long classic look, but made the car more functional.
I am especially proud of using DC Collectibles 6 in action figure toy's rear turbine engine design
