The steering angle is the main problem, not playable on a table.
    Like all Technic sets nowadays.
So I modified mine, I will distribute my mods later.

    Nice.
I'm planning it to be my first Technic set ever and it looks like that's a great choice.
    Thank you.

I like the Car Transporter very much :)
So I started to build three more cars to load the transporter full!
The cars can you found here: Multipack: Three custom sports cars for the Car Transporter

Very nice cars, I will definitely consider them a bit later on.
I also had a go at building a car to fit the front of the car transporter MOC-34628 Spyder I will have a go at another one as soon as I finish my current project.
      Thanks for the links.

Thank you very much, I hope you have fun with the cars!

I agree with review as I really didn't expect this model to be as rewarding as it was to build!
My daughter is playing with it all the time now so I cannot use the parts as the intention was to begin with ;-P

Don't have this set, but helping a friend that does.  Awesome set!

2 minor glitches that I would have done differently.

1 -  put some half bushings on the axles behind the front wheels (A model car) to keep them from being pushed on far enough to touch the frame.

2 - It would have been nice if LEGO had split bag 2 into at least 2 bags (or 3).  Bag 2 takes up a lot of room in the building area.

Actually, a third thing - put the headlight bar on the car (A model) before installing the front bumper.

Having just spent 3 days building this model. I was very happy with the result.
Good clear instructions if I followed them correctly. Yes I did make a few mistakes.
It makes a fine addition to my sets.
I would strongly recommend the set to build and No I will not dismantle for the B models.
Buy another to make them, now that is a possibility.

I am relieved that I am not the only one thinking of buying a second set for the B models, I am already checking for sales to see if I can pick it up a bit cheaper :)
    • It took me over an hour to dismantle it. Not an easy task!

I display my models at local shows. So it might be a few years before I dismantle.
I would easily believe the time taken. If you did not build I can see the time taking longer.

Long time lurker on this site, first time commenter. Don't think that's a word, but you get it!
I've got this as a gift but was worried about the steering when loaded with a car on the top of the cab. Such a simple thing to have the steering out the side also, must admit I was impressed with the thinking for playability there.
The one thing I found that is really more a minor annoyance, is that there isn't enough ground clearance for the blue car to travel up the ramp as it can ground out up the ramp.  Like I said minor.
Over all I enjoyed this build and it sits pride and place over my desk!

This is a fantastic model, I also have the Mack Anthem and out of the two I prefer this one. This is an overall great model and even though the Mack is a great looking prime mover, I really was disappointed with the overall look of the trailer. I was so inspired by this build, that I have pulled down the Mack and am now in the process of building my own prime mover, sans instructions (of any sort).

Great review. I also build them with my son. I’ve added this to my wish list!
