I've just finished building this MOC over an extended 4 day weekend and it's a brilliant peace of work. During the process I've had many occasions where I was wondering how this was ever going to fit, work, be stable or strong enough but a few pages along and all would come together perfectly. The designer is nothing short of a genius and this becomes even more apparent if you decide to change anything. I did, I tried to convert it to left hand drive and it was a challenge to say the least. At this moment it became clear to me how incredibly difficult it is to create a model like this, so many parts need to come together in just the right way to make this car look like an S30! With all the function and detail that is crammed into the 2000+ pieces there is very little wiggle room. So, if you want left hand drive, start with mirror building the gearbox, engine and frame and save yourself a few frustrating hours. Many thanks to the designer for investing the time and effort to bring this JDM classic into the Lego world. If I could rate this MOC it would definitely get 5 stars.

I have some ideas for the dash, I'll have to plunder some sets I have though. I've seen just about everything on YouTube and Insta that is related to Z's. MCM is indeed one of my favourite shows along with home built bij Jeff. There's a wealth of information to be found online for the starting and novice car restorer. Not sure you should be jealous by the way, I have years of of work ahead of me before I'll actually get to drive the Z.

I fell in love with your build, thanks Google suggestions for bringing it to my attention. I've been looking for a Lego Z since I bought my real project Z a few years ago as I occasionally need something to (re)build that is not rusty and falling apart, just to stay motivated! Yours is the first that actually gets the roofline and window curve perfect! I've ordered a Gt3 just for this. Can't wait to get started! I'll be thinking real hard on a way to make the dashboard look more like the original though ;-)
