I saw a boy having tremendous fun with this set. He didn't mind at all that it was difficult to steer. Perhaps he even found it more fun. It did indeed skid a lot on a hard floor, but he didn't find that a problem either. The grownups however were not happy with the noise, so maybe for them the thread attachments are an improvement for them. On a more rough floor, the machine lifts the front up  (staggers, or what is the word for cars?) when it launches at full speed. So, altogether, wild, raw energy unleashed in this little racer! Perhaps boring to build but tonnes of fun for the children playing with it.

Original model! And lots of functionality in such a small space!
The manual also looks really neat. Which software did you use to make the pdf?

Thanks for the suggestions, Seabie! Unfortunately, because of some life changes, I won't have time any time soon to follow up on this, but I will try hard to remember.

Good that the bee has a home now. All your creations but this one in particular makes me curious about your Lego parts collection. Of some of them I didn't even know or would guess that they exist in the colors that you use.
