    From counting on from the instructions, I believe it is 36 studs long, the original is 31 studs long from what I can remember.

    Yes, the wheelbase is supposed to be longer, there was not way to keep he original wheelbase using all of the extra motors, sadly.

    I did not buy 9398, I just had enough to build this, if you upload the 9398 you have along with any other sets you have into your rebrickable parts it should tell you how many you need to buy to finish it.
    Yes, I left the top stock, I did not include the top in the instructions because it was directly from 9398 ones.
