I start with a spreadsheet that has a list of parts sorted by Color and Part Name/Element. I number the columns by page number. Then I go page by page and add the number of parts from each page to each page numbered column in the proper row based on color and part name. Takes time, but it helps to make sure you order the correct number of parts. Of course I reconcile to required number of parts. BTW - I sort pieces by color and element before I start the build. I now use the spreadsheet to fill numbered bags (1 element at a time) with parts based on groups of 10 pages. Again, it takes time, but it makes the build go smoother and quicker. I recently did this for MOC 15881 - Executor Class Star Dreadnought and was done with the built in less than 1 week.

Has the Inventory been updated for this version?

Replying to @19ducks. I just ran the buy inventory for book 1. It gave me 100% of the pieces required. I can't recreate your problem. The store with 9 lbg 1 x 3 bricks is showing 4 for purchase. Exactly what is needed. The only advice is to rerun it again, or mess around with the buying filters.
    Good Luck!

Just finished this wonderful MOC. Perfect compliment to the original set. Inventory list is perfect. Some parts from the original bridge set railings are required for the extension. I panicked and needlessly ordered some extra Reddish Brown 1 x 8 plates.
