Yeah, I also had trouble with the instructions. The booklet looks nice, but the colors are so hard to differentiate. I made a number of mistakes while building the set. It didn't help that it was past midnight when I built it...(c:

I just built this last night. It is really a phenomenal set. I found it interesting how the whole interior is brown, something you would never guess or see looking at it from the outside. The red lines running on the sides are just so lovely.

One thing though I would like to mention looking at your pictures. The round plate on top supposed to be one of the silver ones not clear. (I'm talking about the one attached to the bar; one one side there is a trans-red one and the other side is what you have as trans-clear).

I have made the same mistake, but when you look at the picture of the model on the box, you will see it is a silver round, not a clear one. Also, if you check the part count at the back of the box you will see there are 6 clear rounds used in the set and 10 silver ones. The only way this would work if you use a silver round attached to the bar.

It is really hard to differentiate some of the colors in the instruction booklet. Brent made the same mistake when he assembled the official LEGO set. ;)
