For today's review we head to the racing track, where we go all electric with the Porsche GT4 e-Performance. The car was revealed in 2022 to the public as Porsche's effort to showcase the possibilities of electric vehicles in the racing sport. The model has been turned into a remote controlled Technic set in the form of 42176-1 Porsche GT4 e-Performance, which brings us a brand new power source Let's start building to find out what powers this car.

It's September, summer is near its end, so time to start planning for the holidays! And what better way to get into the spirit than with a Advent Calendar. Like most years, LEGO is releasing six new calendars to count down to December 25th; CITY, Friends, Star Wars, Super Heroes Marvel, Harry Potter and newcomer Disney. After 2 calendars focused on Avengers, and last year's addition being focused on Guardians of the Galaxy, this year the festivities swing into New York, centering around our friendly neighborhood spider and his friends (and foes).

Season 5 of The Monkie Kid has been released, and it comes with 4 new sets. I've already mentioned the plot in the review of set 80058-1 Celestial Pagoda, so I won't repeat it all here. But in short: The team is hunting for stones, one of which can be found in this set.

Dungeons & Dragons turns 50, and LEGO is invited to the party. We’ve already seen a massive set which also functions as a campaign with 21348-1 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale, the review of which dragged me into the world, plane and/or multiverse of D&D.

It's been a while since I've built a Monkie Kid set. The last one was 80043-1 Yellow Tusk Elephant from 2023, based on Season 4 of the show. In the months after, either other sets came on my path, or other writers picked sets from the theme to review.

Every 2 years we get a new addition to the Technic Ultimate Car Concept Series, and the 5th installment in this lineup of massive 1:8 scale cars is the McLaren P1. The choice for this model is surprising; where the other cars in the series are new models, the P1 was introduced in 2013 and discontinued in 2015. Why the team went with an 'outdated' car is anyone's guess.

Diagon Alley is one of the most iconic locations in the Harry Potter franchise, but there have been a shockingly small number of sets featuring shops from the famous street; I've been able to find only 10. I did include 4719-1 Quality Quidditch Supplies whose location is not confirmed, 40598-1 Gringotts Vault which is underground, and 4720-1 Knockturn Alley which is technically depicting a different alley.

The CITY theme spans a lot of different subthemes. There are evergreens like Police and Firefighters, various garages, stores and houses, and less 'city' excursions like artic and jungle explorers, volcanos, mining, space, and however Stuntz fits in there. But one thing every city needs are construction workers, and as such they often show up in CITY sets.

In part 1 of this blog, I've shown how to setup your PoweredUp hubs so they can be controlled by Pybricks, and shown an example script. With that example, the color sensor is directly connected to the robot, so we need to stay near it to control it. Of course, we want remote control!

The LEGO PoweredUp system was introduced in 2017 as the successor of the PowerFunctions system. The system is centered around smart battery boxes known as hubs, featuring a BlueTooth connectivity, making it possible to connect them to apps on your mobile devices for full control of your LEGO models. Separate themes like City Trains, Technic, BOOST, Mindstorms and SPIKE all have their own type of hub and all were given an accompanying app to control official LEGO models.
